  • FAQ

1. What is the MIK-MDX100 multi-parameter water quality analyzer?

The MIK-MDX100 is a compact, wall-mounted analyzer for continuous online water quality monitoring. Its modular design can monitor up to 6 parameters at the same time, and it is used in urban and rural water treatment plants, municipal tap water networks, secondary water supply systems, end-user outlets, indoor swimming pools, large purification facilities and direct drinking water systems.

2. Which parameters can it measure?
  • pH: 0–14 pH (electrochemical method)
  • ORP: -1500 to 1500 mV (electrochemical method)
  • Turbidity: 0–100 NTU (90° infrared light scattering)
  • Residual chlorine, chlorine dioxide or ozone: 0–5 mg/L (three-electrode constant potential method)
  • Conductivity (TDS, salinity): 0–20,000 μS/cm (two-pole or four-pole graphite electrode)
  • Temperature: 0–75 °C (thermoresistance method)
3. Can I add or remove parameters?

Yes. Monitoring options can be tailored to project needs, and sensors can be freely combined, so parameters can be added or removed as required. Up to 6 parameters can be monitored simultaneously.

4. How accurate is each parameter?
  • pH: ±0.1 pH (resolution 0.01 pH)
  • ORP: ±20 mV (resolution 1 mV)
  • Turbidity: ±5% or ±0.1 NTU, whichever is greater
  • Residual chlorine: ±0.1 mg/L or ±10%, whichever is greater
  • Conductivity: ±2% FS (resolution 0.1 μS/cm)
  • Temperature: ±0.5 °C
5. Does it need reagents?

No. The MIK-MDX100 is reagent-free: there is no reagent consumption, no secondary pollution and no waste liquid. Residual chlorine is measured with the three-electrode constant potential method instead of a reagent-based method.

6. How fast is the response?

The response time is ≤30 seconds, and less than 2.5 minutes for residual chlorine.

7. What outputs and communication are available?
  • 4–20 mA transmitter output, adjustable, with up to 4 simultaneous outputs
  • RS-485 interface with Modbus RTU protocol
8. What power supply is required?
  • 220 VAC, less than 20 W
  • 24 VDC: operating current <260 mA (not cleaning), <1150 mA (during cleaning)

The higher current during cleaning should be considered when sizing a DC power supply.

9. Does it have a cleaning function?

The power specification lists a higher current draw during cleaning, which indicates a cleaning function is included. Please contact us to confirm the cleaning method and which sensors it applies to.

10. What sample water flow is required?

The inlet flow rate is 0.6–1.5 L/min.

11. What are the dimensions, material and installation method?
  • Cabinet dimensions: 380 × 541 × 200 mm
  • Housing material: ABS
  • Installation: wall-mounted
12. What operating and storage temperatures are allowed?
  • Operating temperature: 0–55 °C
  • Storage temperature: -25 to 55 °C
13. Does it have temperature compensation?

Yes. Temperature compensation is provided for the electrodes within a certain range, which keeps readings stable under varying conditions.

14. Can it measure TDS and salinity?

The conductivity measurement covers 0–20,000 μS/cm and can be expressed as TDS or salinity. Please tell us which unit your system requires.

15. How much maintenance does it need?

Because no reagents are used, operating costs are low and maintenance mainly consists of cleaning and periodic calibration of the sensors. Please contact us for the recommended maintenance intervals of your selected parameters.

16. How is the MIK-MDX100 different from the MIK-MPP1000 and MIK-MPP500?
