MIK-PH5022 Germany glass pH sensor

MIK-5022 tecLine electrodes are high-quality sensors for professional applications in process and industrial measurement technology. These electrodes are known for their use of top-quality materials and components. They are designed as combined electrodes (the glass or metal electrode and the reference electrode are combined in one shaft). A temperature probe can also be integrated as an option, depending on the type.

  • FAQ

1. What is the MIK-PH5022 glass pH sensor?

The MIK-PH5022 is a high-quality glass pH electrode for professional applications in process and industrial measurement technology, made with top-quality materials and components.

2. What is a combined electrode?

The MIK-PH5022 is a combined electrode: the glass measuring electrode and the reference electrode are combined in one shaft, so only one sensor needs to be installed. Depending on the type, a temperature probe can also be integrated as an option.

3. What are the measuring range, zero point and slope?
  • Measuring range: 0–14 pH
  • Zero potential point: 7 ± 0.5 pH
  • Slope: >96%
  • Practical response time: <1 min
4. What temperature and pressure can it withstand?
  • Temperature: 0 to 130 °C
  • Pressure: 1 to 6 bar (at 25 °C)

The temperature rating refers to general cables. Please tell us your process temperature and pressure so we can confirm the suitable cable and configuration.

5. What is the installation connection?

The electrode has a Pg13.5 thread, a widely used standard for 12 mm process electrodes, fittings and flow cells.

6. What is the K8S connector?

The MIK-PH5022 uses a K8S plug-in connector head. With a plug-in head, the cable is connected separately, so the electrode can be replaced without replacing the cable. Please specify the required cable length when ordering.

7. Is an integrated temperature sensor available?

Yes. Depending on the type, a temperature probe can be integrated into the electrode as an option. Please tell us the temperature element your meter requires.

8. What applications is the MIK-PH5022 suitable for?
  • Industrial wastewater engineering
  • Process measurements in electroplating plants, the paper industry and the drinks industry
  • Wastewater containing oil
  • Suspensions, varnishes and media containing solid particles
9. Can it be used in media containing fluorides?

According to its specification, the MIK-PH5022 can be used in media containing fluorides (hydrofluoric acid) up to 1000 mg/L HF. For dedicated hydrofluoric acid applications, see also the MIK-PH5014, and send us your HF concentration for confirmation.

10. Can it be used at high temperatures?

Yes. With a temperature rating of up to 130 °C, the MIK-PH5022 is suitable for many hot process applications. At high temperatures, electrode aging is generally faster, so regular checks and calibration are recommended.

11. Which pH meter can be used with the MIK-PH5022?

Asmik options include the MIK-PH6.5, MIK-PH8.0 and MIK-DC-P2, which support pH measurement up to 130 °C with temperature compensation.

12. How is the MIK-PH5022 different from the MIK-pH6002?

Both are glass pH electrodes with a Pg13.5 thread. The MIK-PH5022 is specified for 0–130 °C and 1–6 bar and uses a K8S plug-in connector, while the MIK-pH6002 comes with a fixed 5 m cable (other lengths optional) and a wide choice of temperature compensation elements.

13. How should the electrode be calibrated?

Calibrate with standard buffer solutions that bracket your process pH, such as Asmik standard pH calibration solutions, following the procedure of your pH meter.

14. How should the electrode be maintained and stored?
  • Clean the glass membrane and junction regularly according to the type of contamination.
  • Keep the membrane wet; store the electrode with its protective cap and storage solution when not in use.
  • Protect the glass shaft from impact.
  • Recalibrate after cleaning or long storage.
15. What information should I provide to get a quotation?

To help us select the correct configuration, please provide:

  • Medium and application
  • Process temperature and pressure
  • Fluoride (HF) concentration, if present
  • Whether an integrated temperature sensor is needed, and its type
  • K8S cable length
